My First Love Letter… For Him

 As I was going through some of our old letters last night, something has caught my attention. My first love letter to him, dated 18th December 1999 just after a week we started our journey together…

Here it goes….

Got up from my sleep, that I need to pinch my cheek

Thought I was dreaming still, being with the man of my destiny.

As I opened my door, I viewed a shadow on one side,

Then I learned, it was you, the shadow of my dreams.

At that time, I knew I liked him, but wasn't sure If I was ready to love again, but I said why not give it a try. It's been a while that no one has loved me that way…. But things taunt me, our differences… 

Long time of waiting for this moment to come

To smile and to laugh, to be treasured and to be loved.

Nothing to ask for more, I have you now with me.

We'll cross the bridge together till we become one.

I don't know the reasons why I had written these lines… Maybe bcoz I knew that he's the one?

Just hang on…. to the promise of love…

And I'll be there no matter what!

Tested… and we had proven that we are soon to become one and 3 years ago we did. We vowed to the promise of love in front of our dear Lord…

awww, how romantic. good thing you kept those love letters. sarap balik-balikan once in a while. i also kept a huge box of love letters. mostly were those when me and my husband were just dating. the frequencies of writing and receiving letters and cards though diminished as we got married. perhaps, it’s because mobile texting came into being.

at eto ang funny, dami kong letters and cards sa kanya di mabilang. sya first and last na ata yung first xmas namin together nung mag-bf pa kami bwahahaha!

How very romantic. I have kept all of the letters in a special box and sometimes I like going through them. It’s always heartwarming when you reminisce. Thanks for sharing.
