The Truth

Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.

When I'm down, I look up to Him. When I'm bothered, I speak to myself. When I'm sad, I choose to be alone. When I'm depressed, I write my thoughts. When silence speaks, I express myself…

It’s Been A While

Monday, February 5, 2007

I was invited to our sister company's staff party last night. At first, I was hesitant to attend,  I think it's not a good idea. But said to myself, it's been a while since the last time I went out and enjoyed alone without carrying feeding bottles and diapers in my bag. Just my bag, with my celfone in it, a purse, lipstick and a compact.

As I was dressing up, Deye crawls around me trying to get my attention. Oh dear! Don't you want me to go?

She was crying when I left. As in crying out loud. When I reached the venue, I called home again to check, she was still crying. :(

All the while when I was there, my mind was at home. Thinking of Deye. Derrick came around 12mid. I had a short chat with him while he was dining, and told him I'll go ahead in few minutes.

I went home. She was already fast asleep. In the middle of the night, she suddenly cried and sat down from where she was lying down. And she uttered "Mama" as if she was looking for me. :(

Oh well, I guess I was just being too emotional, coz it's the first time I left home without her since I gave birth.

and you know how it is–while the children are very young, they know only us moms to be their security.

there are so many things to consider, to balance, for us mothers, and there is no single formula to it. we have to know out priorities, and be responsible for our actions.

it is a continuous learning experience.
